Registration Open For Marriott’s New Fall Promo—Register Now For Up To 4,500 Bonus Points Per Stay

Marriott has opened registration for its fall Bonvoy promotion, and it’s showing in my account under the promotions tab this morning. You’ll earn 1,500 bonus points on eligible paid stays of two nights or longer, plus another 3,000 points when the stay is at a participating resort. I value Marriott points at about 0.6 cents apiece, so that’s $9 per qualifying stay, or $27 at a resort. That’s not super worth chasing, but you should register right now anyway once logged in. More points are better than fewer points. Even if you don’t expect any Marriott stays during the promotion, you might wind up with one. And you won’t remember to go back and register later. Register September 9 through November 13, 2026. Stay September 22 through November 22, 2026. Each qualifying stay must be at least two consecutive paid nights under the same reservation. There’s no limit to the number of eligible stays that earn the bonus, and your first qualifying stay counts. The advertised 4,500 points is the maximum per stay, not a cap for the whole promotion. And it’s a flat bonus for the stay, not something you earn again every two nights. What The Bonus Is Actually Worth Stay Bonus points Value at 0.6 cents per point One night, any property 0 $0 2+ nights, eligible non-resort 1,500 $9 2+ nights, eligible resort 4,500 $27 On a two-night stay, that’s $4.50 per night at a non-resort or $13.50 per night at a resort. Stay a week and the same bonus works out to about $1.29 or $3.86 per night. These are extra points on top of your usual earnings, but the longer you stay the less this promotion does for you per night. For a $400 two-night stay at a non-resort, $9 in points is an extra 2.25% return. When I covered Marriott’s 2024 winter promotion and the return of that offer in 2025, I wasn’t excited about 1,000 bonus points per night. The extra elite qualifying nights were valuable. This offer doesn’t include those, and outside resorts the points are less generous, too. In fact, I wrote about Marriott offering the same 1,500 points for stays of two nights or longer back in 2019. The resort bonus is the improvement here. Beer in mind, Paid stays only. Points redemptions, free night certificates, and Cash + Points stays don’t qualify. You need a points-eligible rate booked through Marriott or another qualifying channel; most third-party online booking sites don’t count. Don’t piece together separate one-night reservations. The terms repeatedly require two or more nights under the same reservation. Two one-night stays at different properties won’t qualify, either. Check the resort designation. Marriott links to its resort directory for the additional 3,000 points. Only one room per stay counts. Booking rooms for the whole family doesn’t multiply your promotional bonus. Some properties and stays are excluded. BVLGARI, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, and Marriott Executive Apartments don’t qualify, nor do owner-occupied weeks at the listed vacation ownership and residence clubs. Your account must earn points. Members who elect to earn airline miles aren’t eligible. Marriott employees can participate. You don’t have to make a new booking after registering. An existing reservation can qualify; the terms require the eligible stay to be completed after registration. Stays crossing the promotion’s starting or ending date can also count if at least one night falls within the earning period and the stay otherwise qualifies. The 1,500-point hotel bonus should post with the stay within 10 business days after checkout. The extra 3,000 resort points, however, can take up to eight weeks after the promotion ends. Homes & Villas bonuses follow that slower timetable, too. A September resort stay could leave you waiting until January for the extra 3,000 points. Topics on this page
