The world is full of adventure and surprises, plus rich storylines, great side stories, and tons of activities to fill your time when the credits roll. Red Dead Redemption fans also have a horror crossover, especially with Undead Nightmare, the 2010 expansion for the original Red Dead Redemption, which turns the entire game into a non-canon horror romp. You'll need to find a cure for zombieism in that campaign, which is a completely out-there story even by Rockstar standards. Although Red Dead Redemption 2 never got a fully-fledged horror expansion pack, the next best thing is available in The Hollow Man - Undying Duel. Live now on Nexus Mods and crafted by modder maulayaLathif123, you can install The Hollow Man - Undying Duel, and take on a vampire boss fight. The vampire itself is reminiscent of classic Hollywood monsters, including Nosferatu, and the encounter itself sounds intense: "Face a terrifying vampire boss in a deadly one-on-one duel in Red Dead Redemption 2 Story Mode. The Hollow Man haunts a remote graveyard and appears only at night. Find his lair, survive the fight against his massive health pool, and earn $500 in-game cash if you defeat him. Are you ready to face the darkness? A terrifying vampire boss haunts a remote graveyard between 7 PM and 3 AM. Survive a one-on-one duel against his massive health pool, defeat him for a $500 reward, and locate his lair using a skull marker on the map. Includes a dedicated boss health bar." It's that simple. The boss can appear anytime from 7PM to 3AM via the in-game clock, and you'll need to take down the vampire in a one-on-one duel. You'll need to play this boss fight in story mode, as it's not intended for Red Dead Online (or what's left of it). It will need ScriptHookRDR2 and a compatible ASI loader. I'm torn about Red Dead Redemption 2 and its post-launch support. On the one hand, it came out in 2018 and felt like a complete game out of the box. It didn't need an expansion, given its massive budget. It already offers pretty much everything you could want in an open-world game, and as long as you can accept the western setting, you'll find a lot to love. On the other hand, Rockstar stopped working on earnest Red Dead Online updates to focus on the GTA series. It could have been something really special, and fans would have flocked to a new official Red Dead Redemption 2 experience. For now, the community is keeping that dream alive with mods like The Hollow Man - Undying Duel.
