A young recruitment consultant who spent almost a year languishing in a hellhole Dubai prison on drug charges has embarked on a very different career since returning home to Britain. Bella Daggett was locked up in the puritanical Gulf state after being detained in raids just weeks after moving there to pursue a lucrative new job aged just 21. Her desperate family claimed she had fallen in with the 'wrong crowd' and found herself in the 'wrong place at the wrong time'. At one point, the glamorous brunette went a month without a shower and three months without a change of clothes as she faced the terrifying prospect of years behind bars. But now, having finally returned to Britain after the allegations against her were dropped, Bella has swapped office work for a decidedly racier business. The 23-year-old is now selling provocative pictures and videos on adult subscription websites. On Fansly, an adult platform similar to OnlyFans, Bella charges customers £7.40 a month to access her lingerie-clad content. Those wanting a more personal experience can splash out £148 a month on what she describes as a 'girlfriend experience'. Wrong boyfriend.'She was arrested with a lad that was not her boyfriend, who she was staying with because things had fallen through with another house.'Describing Bella's plight in prison, Mrs Smith added: 'Women get treated far worse than male prisoners, who get to go outside, they get sports, a PlayStation and a television - Bella has nothing.'She hasn't had a shower for a month, she hasn't had a change of clothes for three months. She has had nothing.'She can speak to me and her mum every day though, which is good. But we have been in bits.'Bella's mother, Lucinda Smith, 46, launched a GoFundMe appeal which raised almost £1,500 to help bring her daughter home. She wrote: 'My daughter Isabella has been wrongfully detained in Dubai, and we are doing everything we can to prove her innocence and bring her back home.'The hideous conditions she is living in is enough to break any mother's heart.'The drugs allegations against Bella were eventually dropped in January but she was ordered to pay a fine of around £3,000 for overstaying her visa while detained. She flew back to Britain in March, almost a year to the day of her arrest.Bella, who has always maintained her innocence, is understood to remain cautious about speaking publicly about her experiences because of the UAE's strict laws against criticism of the state. However, in September, she told her 22,000 followers on Instagram: 'A year ago, I was in the darkest place of my life.'Looking back at everything I'm so proud of how far I've come.'So grateful for where I am now, the people around me, and everything life has brought me since then.'Here's to happier days, new memories and so much more to come.'
