Reckless yobs ignore police warnings & rip off anti-climb spikes to plunge into sea from children’s charity roof

YOUTHS are dicing with death as swathes of teens are spotted jumping into the sea after clambering onto the roof of a harbourside charity building. The charity provides the families of disabled or poorly children holidays and says the trespassers are “terrifying” vulnerable people staying inside. The groups are climbing up the property of Harriet Davis Seaside Holiday Trust to get onto the roof and plunge into the water below. Despite attempts to stop trespassers including anti-climb paint, removing adjacent bins and anti-climb spikes the charity says situation has got even worse. She warned there is an “extremely serious danger to life”. Not only are the jumpers putting themselves at risk of serious injury and fatality, but Ms Lincoln said the youths are “terrifying vulnerable families staying in the property”. Most read in The Sun She said: “We are now also experiencing youths hammering on our doors and windows as they climb onto and descend from the roof “The young people are deliberately smearing the anti-climb paint over our external walls and are progressively ripping the plastic spikes from the roof.” She added: “Our visitors are not tourists coming to the town for entertainment. “Most of our visiting families come from Wales, and some are local families. County Councillor Michael Williams has written to police to back the charity, saying: “There is a genuine fear that there could be a fatality if this activity is allowed to continue. “In my opinion at the very least criminal damage is being caused by these youths and they are trespassing with intent, and I would ask that you consider taking action on these specific activities “This amazing charitable organisation provides a unique opportunity for families who often have to contend with some of the most distressing circumstances conceivable and they deserve the support of everyone concerned.
