Rebecca Yarros Announces Surprise Early Release For New Fourth Wing Book

Fourth Wing was first published in 2023 by Red Tower Books, and it launched the bestselling Empyrean fantasy-romance series. The books follow 20-year-old Violet Sorrengail, who's forced to enter the deadly Basgiath War College. Violet must fight against some serious competition and earn her place amongst the other students while dealing with an ongoing battle of wits with her powerful enemy, Xaden Riorson. Author Rebecca Yarros shared an exciting update for Fourth Wing: the beloved novel will be re-released as a graphic novel titled Fourth Wing, The Graphic Novel: Volume One, to be released on April 6, 2027. It was previously leaked that a graphic novel was available for pre-order, but now Yarros has officially confirmed the news, as well as sharing where fans can pick up a signed deluxe version. The author stated: "First, I’m in proofs for the graphic novel, and I’m obsessed with watching this world come to life in this new medium. The artwork is GORGEOUS and I have the incredibly talented @mayet_artist to thank! Second, Fourth Wing, The Graphic Novel: Volume One releases April 6, 2027! We popped it up on preorder and you guys found it with a QUICKNESS! I wasn’t planning on chatting about where to find it quite yet, but once I realized you’d already sold out the Signed Deluxe Edition on Amazon (without even seeing a cover…WHOA and THANK YOU), I wanted hop on and officially announce the preorder so anyone who didn’t super-sleuth it won’t miss out on the Signed Deluxe Edition if you want one since it’s a pretty limited print run. Fourth Wing's fourth book will follow Fourth Wing, Iron Flame, and Onyx Storm, with a spinoff collection of 13 stories focused on dragon bonding titled Threshing Day, which Yarros recently announced and will be released on September 29. Threshing Day's collection will act as a companion book rather than a full major installment.
