Real Housewives of Cheshire star shows off ‘new scars’ after twisted ovary and cyst left her in ‘excruciating’ pain

A REAL Housewives of Cheshire star today bravely showed off her “new scars” after revealing she had a twisted ovary and cyst that left her in “excruciating” pain. Yesterday, Tanya Bardsley, 45, revealed she had been rushed to hospital for “emergency surgery”, and today she has given fans an update on how she is doing. In one picture, Tanya revealed her painful looking scars following the surgery – although she has since deleted this photo. Sign up for the TV newsletter Thank you! Revealing her health update, the reality star wrote: “It’s nearly a year ago since I had my hysterectomy and I was finally feeling fantastic the out of the blue I woke up at 2am in agony and Kept telling Phil I needed to go A&E.” Continuing Tanya said: “I was expecting the worst and my god I was wrong, it was the most amazing experience of high quality care and I’msoo grateful to all of the doctors and nurses and staff. “My right ovary had twisted around 4 times and it had no blood supply getting to it and it had gone to the size of a womb and it had a cyst on it too; it’s all been sent off for testing. “The pain was excruciating…I was operated on so quickly and by an amazing surgeon – and now I feel brand new.” Tanya said her beloved mother had stayed with her during her hospital stay Credit: Instagram / tanyabardsley7 Tanya thanked mum Julie for her support during her tough time Credit: Instagram / tanyabardsley7 Thanking her mum for staying with her, during her hospital stay, even though it was her birthday, she said: “I defo won the mummy lottery!” Referring to her wounds on her stomach, Tanya said: “New scars to add to my collection.” Most read in TV The Bardsley Bunch star’s new post came just hours after she told fans that she was in hospital for an “emergency op”. Meanwhile, Tanya has been married to footballer Phil Bardsley since June 2014, and they share sons Rocco, 16, Renz, 13, and Ralphi, six – she is also mum to daughter Gabriella, 24, from a previous relationship.
