READING and Leeds Festival-goers think they’ve worked out who is playing the secret set on Sunday – and it’s a huge rock band. The annual festival is returning this week, with 100,000 people expected to head to the three-day event which is taking place from Friday to Sunday. Fans have been taking to Reddit to share their speculations and they think they’ve figured out just exactly who the surprise performers are. Somebody titled a thread: “What’s the rumour on Sunday afternoon mystery guest? Any ideas?” A Reddit user commented: “Most realistic guess seems to be Royal Blood atm. “They have no gig planned that day while they’re in the middle of a tour promoting the new upcoming album. “They announced a last-minute surprise set for Pukkelpop yesterday which was the same length.” Another person speculated: “It’s Royal Blood, official Reading and Leeds playlist gave it away with a Royal Blood song in there.” Most read in Showbiz The annual festival is taking place this weekend Credit: Getty 100,000 revellers are expected to attend Credit: Getty While a third agreed: “Royal Blood I reckon.” Royal Blood consists of rock duo Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher and they were formed back in 2011. They were signed by Warner Chappell Music in 2013 and have since released four studio albums. Their fifth studio album, Dead Company, is all set to release later this year. The iconic festival is in it’s 27th year and will see 120 acts appearing across seven stages. It will take place at it’s traditional home of Richfield Avenue in Reading. Comment now
