Actor Ravi Teja's Telugu action drama Irumudi, which released in theatres on August 21, has been performing well at the box office and has also drawn positive responses from critics and celebrities. Rashmika Mandanna has now joined the list of people praising the film after watching it in theatres.In a post on X, Rashmika called Irumudi a "beautiful film" and said it addressed an issue that deserves to be spoken about. She also congratulated Ravi Teja, director Shiva Nirvana and the rest of the team for the film's success.Rashmika wrote, "Yesterday I had the opportunity to watch Irumudi.. What a beautiful film it is.. it hit me in ways I didn't see coming.. (sic)""Generally when we grow up in small towns something happens to us or something bothers us our first response will be to tell our elders what happened because that's the innocence in us.. and then the reality hits us.. and we are then told to keep quiet.. no matter what.. (sic)," she went on. The film is also putting up a strong show overseas, taking its worldwide gross to Rs 88 crore in the early days of its theatrical run.Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers' Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar. It also features actor Priya Bhavani Shankar in a crucial role, while Baby Nakshathra plays Ravi Teja's daughter.
