Veteran actor Sudhir Dalvi received financial assistance from Ranbir Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan, and Akshay Kumar following his hospitalisation for sepsis, his wife Suhas Dalvi has revealed. Best known for portraying the lead role in Shirdi Ke Sai Baba, the actor faced mounting medical bills after being admitted in October 2025 with life-threatening complications.In an interview with BollySpice, Sudhir Dalvi's wife, Suhas Dalvi, said, "When the news spread that we were unable to meet hospital bills, many from the film industry came forward to help financially.""I can’t immediately recall all the names. But Kartik Aaryan, Ranbir Kapoor, Akshay Kumar were among the first to help. There were so many others from the film industry and outside. My husband is best known for playing Sai Baba. So many Sai bhakts came forward to help. Who says we’ve become a heartless people? The love and generosity after my husband’s illness is overwhelming," she added.Suhas Dalvi said her husband is now back home, though his recovery remains slow. "He is at home now. He still has to walk with the help of a walker, and his mind is disoriented. But he is happy to be home. So am I. The hospital was not only expensive, the aura of being in a hospital is also very intimidating for a patient," Suhas said. She also said the family had asked the film association, which had been sending them money every month, to use the funds for someone who needed them more. According to her, Sudhir Dalvi had received all the medical help he could get and now needed prayers. She mentioned that she was old and asthmatic, but was doing her best to look after both of them.When Sudhir Dalvi was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in October 2025, the infection critically affected his joints and caused a loss of limb mobility, leading to a prolonged stay in the intensive care unit. His family had paid nearly Rs 10 lakh for the treatment, while doctors said the total cost could rise to over Rs 15 lakh. In December 2025, the Shree Saibaba Sansthan Trust was allowed to extend monetary support to the veteran actor. The trust donated Rs 11 lakh towards his treatment.Sudhir Dalvi has worked in the film and television industry for over three decades. He first rose to prominence for playing Guru Vashishta in Ramanand Sagar's 1987 television show Ramayan, and later appeared in the 1977 film Shirdi Ke Sai Baba, which made him a household name.Apparently, Ranbir has also portrayed Lord Rama in director Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming film Ramayana: Part One and his sequel scheduled for a 2027 release. The film also features actors Sai Pallavi, Yash, Ravie Dubey, Sunny Deol, Kunal Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi, Rakul Preet Singh and Lara Dutta in key roles.Over the course of his career, he has appeared in films including Kranti, Satyamev Jayate, Khudgarz, Guru and Khal Nayak.
