Ranbir Kapoor to start Brahmastra 2 in April. Will Deepika Padukone join?

Actor Deepika Padukone is in talks to join Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra 2 in a key role, as the highly anticipated sequel moves forward behind the scenes. Ranbir Kapoor is also set to reunite with Mukerji for the next chapter of the Astraverse, with the actor expected to begin shooting in 2027 after wrapping Ramayana Part 2.According to a report by Pinkvilla, work on the film’s scripting and pre-production is currently underway. Ranbir is expected to wrap up Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana Part 2 by January 2027. After a brief preparation period, the actor is slated to begin shooting for Brahmastra 2 in April 2027.Ranbir will reportedly take on a challenging double role in the sequel, playing both Dev and Shiva. Alia Bhatt will also return as Isha, reprising her role from the first film.This time, other than Ranbir and Alia, Ayan Mukerji has reportedly begun discussions with Deepika Padukone for the role of Amruta. The character is said to be an important addition to the Astraverse, and the makers are keen to bring an actor with the gravitas required for the part. While talks are underway, Deepika’s casting is yet to be officially confirmed.
