Actor Ram Charan's first picture after undergoing wrist surgery has surfaced online, offering fans a glimpse of the actor as he begins his recovery. The actor underwent the procedure at a hospital in Coimbatore on Sunday and is currently recuperating under medical supervision.According to a statement issued by Ganga Hospital, the surgery was successful. Doctors have advised at least eight weeks of complete rest, followed by physiotherapy and a structured rehabilitation programme. Ram Charan will return to film sets only after completing his rehabilitation and receiving medical clearance.The actor, 39, travelled to Coimbatore for the surgery after aggravating a wrist injury during the shooting of his recently released film, Peddi. His father, Chiranjeevi, mother Surekha and wife Upasana Konidela were with him throughout the treatment.The surgery was led by Dr S Rajasekaran, Chairman of Ganga Hospital. Given the complexity of the injury, hand and wrist specialist Dr Alejandro Badia from Miami joined the surgical team. The procedure was performed by Dr Rajasekaran, Dr Badia, Dr Praveen Bharadwaj and their team of specialists. The hospital said the actor is recovering well and will begin physiotherapy after his initial rest period. His return to shooting will depend on the progress of his rehabilitation over the coming weeks.Ram Charan is expected to begin work on his next film, tentatively titled RC17, directed by Sukumar, once he has made a full recovery.
