Rajasthan man held for sexual assault on train

The Railway Police arrested Satish Kumar, a native of Karauli, Rajasthan, for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman on the Madgaon-Ernakulam Express. The woman was travelling from Kozhikode to Ernakulam when the alleged assault took place near Pattambi. A fellow passenger recorded the incident on a mobile phone.The woman alerted the Railway Police from the train and submitted the video with her complaint. A team led by SI Anil Mathew arrested Satish Kumar when the train reached Shoranur.Police registered a case under non-bailable sections. Satish Kumar, who had been working as a tile worker at Kozhikode and Vadakara, was produced before a court and remanded in custody. Published - August 10, 2026 08:46 pm IST
