The quiet gesture was soon noticed online, with many appreciating the care he took to keep the flag clean.The video was shared on X by Ananth Rupanagudi, who works as a chief project manager at Indian Railways, and showed a railway staff member taking a moment to clean the national flag on the locomotive.In the clip, the worker was seen standing at the front of the train and carefully cleaning the saffron, white and green stripes painted across the locomotive, along with the Ashoka Chakra in the centre. He first poured water over the painted flag using a plastic bottle before wiping it down thoroughly with a cloth.The rest of the locomotive remained visibly covered in dust and grime from regular railway operations, making the freshly cleaned flag stand out against the dirty surface. Sharing the video, Rupanagudi pointed out the simple act, saying that while the locomotive could naturally gather dirt during its operations, the flag should remain clean.Watch the video here: The gesture prompted appreciation from viewers, with several users describing it as a meaningful display of respect for the national flag.
