Rahul abroad, Amit Shah takes a dig: You won't come to power for next 30 years

With Rahul Gandhi away on a foreign trip as the Congress and its allies protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Home Minister Amit Shah took a fresh swipe at the Leader of Opposition, predicting that his party would remain out of power for the next three decades.Speaking after launching projects worth Rs 8,941 crore for cleaning the Yamuna, Shah took a dig at Gandhi's overseas visit. The Congress MP is reportedly on a four-day trip to Vietnam."I know you can't hear me, you're sitting somewhere abroad. You don't even explain why, but that's okay, that's your personal life... But once you land in Delhi, listen to me; your turn won't come for the next thirty years," Shah said.Gandhi’s Vietnam getaway comes amid nationwide protests by the INDIA bloc and the Cockroach janta Party against alleged irregularities in the SIR exercise and Gyanesh Kumar's alleged role in them. As in the past, the BJP was quick to take potshots at him over his foreign trip. The saffron party accused the Gandhi scion of going on vacation after getting tired of "shouting lies" during protests in Delhi. The party also shared a video on X purportedly showing him aboard a flight to Vietnam and questioned, "What is the agenda of Rahul Gandhi's foreign tours?"BJP leader Sambit Patra accused Gandhi of allegedly planning a regime change and claimed he travelled abroad to take "classes from George Soros". BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari also questioned whether the Congress leader was going abroad for a break or to meet his "chaos collaborators". Congress has pushed back, saying Gandhi is entitled to visit any place during his personal time.Shah also hit out at the Congress and its allies for accusing the BJP of vote theft, arguing that the opposition parties had remained out of power in several states for decades."You haven't won an election in Bengal for 54 years... You haven't been elected in Arunachal Pradesh for 12 years, and in Delhi for 18 years," he pointed out."When I say that for 30 years, the BJP will stay in power, they tell the public that the elections are rigged, otherwise how did Amit Shah know? Unlike someone who has to travel abroad every six month, I was born here, live here and will die here," he said, an indirect swipe at Rahul Gandhi. The Home Minister contrasted Gandhi's overseas visit with what he described as the BJP's commitment to addressing people's problems, citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party workers as examples."From the BJP's booth workers to Narendra Modi, millions of BJP workers know the suffering of the people. They work hard to address them," he said."Protests and demonstrations don't achieve anything. Bring a plan to the place where you've been elected," he added.Citing the Yamuna's pollution as an example, Shah accused the AAP and Congress of failing to clean the river despite being in power for years. He declared that the BJP's double-engine governments would work to clean the river along its entire course."The BJP, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, will have the privilege of cleaning the entire Yamuna, from Yamunotri to Sangam. Now, with these kinds of political tactics and mob rule, you can't deny the nation's mandate," he said.- Ends
