RAF jets ‘scrambled over fears of Russian long-range bomber heading towards UK as Typhoons sent to intercept plane’
BRIT fighter jets were reportedly scrambled today over fears that a Russian long-range bomber was heading straight for UK airspace. Two RAF Typhoons and a Voyager refuelling jet were deployed, flying towards Shetland. The Typhoons took off from RAF Lossiemouth, Scotland and the refuelling jet took off from RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, according to The Telegraph....
