British art rock titans Radiohead, one of modern music's most influential acts, will return to Australia in 2027 to play their first concerts in the country in 15 years. The tour will see the band play 16 shows across three cities in May next year, treating fans to their increasingly rare and always awe-inspiring live shows. The band will kick off with four dates in Perth, before six arena dates in both Melbourne and Sydney.Australian Radiohead tours are few and far between. The band first visited in 1994, playing pubs and theatres following the success of their debut album Pablo Honey and its runaway single Creep.By the time they returned in 1998, Radiohead were much more than the guys who sang Creep. With 1995's The Bends and 1997's OK Computer, they had made their case to be one of the most groundbreaking and adventurous acts in music. They didn't let the fame change them. As time went on, Radiohead albums became less predictable. Kid A, released in 2000, famously saw them largely eschew guitars for more avant-garde sounds and vibes.Their live performances, great as they were, became rarer. Radiohead visited Australia again in 2004 and 2012, leaving fans asking for a long time when we could expect them back in our part of the world.Frontman Thom Yorke visited Australia for solo shows in 2024, one of which ended in controversy after a protesting crowd member intervened towards the show's conclusion.Few artists have enjoyed the level of mainstream success as Radiohead while simultaneously seeming so at odds with the system that drives the music industry. Mainstream success has only made them more determined to push boundaries and remain artistically adventurous.Tickets for these shows will be in high demand. Fans can register for ticket access now, and that registration will close at 5pm AEST on Thursday, September 10.Radiohead play the following Australian dates in May 2027:Monday, May 3 — Perth ArenaTuesday, May 4 — Perth ArenaThursday, May 6 — Perth ArenaFriday, May 7 — Perth ArenaThursday, May 13 — Rod Laver Arena, MelbourneFriday, May 14 — Rod Laver Arena, MelbourneSunday, May 16 — Rod Laver Arena, MelbourneMonday, May 17 — Rod Laver Arena, MelbourneWednesday, May 19 — Rod Laver Arena, MelbourneThursday, May 20 — Rod Laver Arena, MelbourneTuesday, May 25 — Sydney SuperDomeWednesday, May 26 — Sydney SuperDomeFriday, May 28 — Sydney SuperDomeSaturday, May 29 — Sydney SuperDomeMonday, May 31 — Sydney SuperDomeTuesday, June 1 — Sydney SuperDome
