Queues close to an hour at Dover ahead of one of the busiest weekends for drivers

Long lines of cars nearly an hour long appeared at the Port of Dover Friday night, as drivers prepare for one of the busiest travel weekends in recent memory. The queues reflect heightened traffic expected due to summer vacations and the post-holiday shopping season. This congestion underscores the challenges faced by cross-channel travel, which could have broader implications for logistics and tourism. Such delays highlight the need for better traffic management and infrastructure improvements to handle peak travel periods efficiently.
