Quavo confirms he has welcomed first child

Quavo has become a father as he confirmed the birth of his first child.The Migos rapper, 35, gave fans a glimpse of his daughter in a short film tied to his upcoming album, Qromelife, he shared on Instagram on Tuesday.Speaking on Complex’s Idea Generation podcast, Quavo said: “It’s a blessing that God gave me. It’s just a whole (new) state.“It brings joy to me. It brings a new light. It brings a new reason why I’m doing this. It brings a new hunger, a new fire to me.“I’m just proud to be a father now, ‘cause we used to always talk about that. So, I’m just happy.”The rapper, real name Quavious Marshall, said the most joyous moments of fatherhood have been seeing his daughter smile or hearing her call him dad.He added: “To see my family love her just like me, it’s just beautiful.”Quavo is known for being one third of the hip-hop group Migos, along with rappers Offset and Quavo’s nephew, Takeoff, who died in 2022.The group rose to fame with the 2013 hit Versace before reaching greater heights in popularity through a Drake remix, and were also known for the track Bad And Boujee, for which they were nominated for a Grammy.Quavo’s debut album, Quavo Huncho, was released in 2018 and his second, Rocket Power, followed in 2023.
