Putin blitzes busy shopping mall in Ukraine killing 15 and injuring at least 130 as video shows depraved strike

AT least 15 people have been killed and 130 wounded after Vladimir Putin unleashed a terrifying blitz on a shopping centre in Ukraine. The second wave of drones was timed to hit the moment rescue workers had swarmed onto the scene to help the wounded, according to Volodymyr Zelensky. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! The Ukrainian President slammed the sickening tactic as an “act of barbarism”. He said: “The attack was carried out by several Russian drones. It was a deliberate and despicable act. They came one after another.” At least 22 children were wounded in the blitz on Zelensky‘s hometown of Kryvyi Rih on Friday. Regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha confirmed: “There are 29 people in serious condition, including five children.” Injured people were reportedly trapped under rubble as fires raged through the building, according to local reports. The first attack was reported at around 4:30pm on Friday but the death toll continued to rise hours later as repeated strikes rocked through the shopping centre. The Ukrainian president vowed: “We will definitely respond”. It comes as Russia‘s campaign of terror escalates in recent days. In a separate attack on Friday, Russian drones killed at least four people, including three children. And on Thursday, 17 people were killed in a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. A children’s hospital and several apartment blocks were set ablaze in the “massive” and orchestrated blitz on Kyiv which saw 44 missiles, including hypersonic and ballistic weapons, launched. For nine hours drones and bombs rained down on the Ukrainian capital. Zelensky said: “The attack was massive – the Russians prepared for a long time and combined different types of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones to inflict as much damage as possible on civilian infrastructure.” Comment now
