Purple Alert issued for missing Vernon man with dementia

Police are searching for a 90-year-old man with dementia in Vernon. According to police, Robert Gottier left his home Thursday morning. His vehicle, a 2016 silver Honda HR-V, was later found in Springfield, Mass., but there has been no contact with him since, officials said. Anyone who has seen Gottier or has information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911, police said.
