A masked 15-year-old boy stabbed a girl in the back at his school after writing notes describing his ‘hatred of women’, a court heard today. The teenager allegedly recorded the ‘motive’ for the attack at Thorpe St Andrew School near Norwich in Norfolk as ‘misanthropy, misogyny, suicide, bullying’.He is also said to have developed a ‘dangerous interest in killers and killing’ and used an app to create disturbing videos, including one showing serial killers including Ed Kemper and Ted Bundy 'dancing over a still image of the globe’.Prosecutor Chris Paxton KC said it was ‘sheer luck’ that the injury the boy’s victim sustained needed only to be glued together at hospital before she was discharged the following day.‘The prosecution case is that [he] was deadly serious in what he was doing and what he intended,’ he told the jury after they had watched a video of the incident in a corridor caught on the school’s CCTV.‘Masked up and tooled up with a kitchen knife… hitting [his victim] in the back when she was defenceless and vulnerable.‘We say this demonstrates [the defendant’s] intention to kill.’ The teenager allegedly recorded the ‘motive’ for the attack at Thorpe St Andrew School near Norwich in Norfolk as ‘misanthropy, misogyny, suicide, bullying’The teenager - who is now 16 and, along with his alleged victim, can’t be identified for legal reasons - went to the mixed secondary school for 11-18-year-olds with the knife on March 11 this year, King’s Lynn Crown Court heard.Dressed in black and with the mask pulled down, he stabbed the girl in front of another person before running from the premises ‘pursued by a teacher’.He was stopped and arrested by police a short while later and directed officers to the knife he had used, jurors heard.‘While [he] was taken to a police station, [the girl] was taken to hospital where it seems that, by sheer good fortune, the wound to her back was able to be treated by being glued together,’ Mr Paxton said.A search of the suspect’s house revealed evidence of his ‘obsessive and dangerous interest in killers and killing’, it is alleged. One note reportedly written the evening before the attack said: ‘I really want to do it, really bad. I hate having to wait… but I have to wait. I need a plan.’It ended: ‘I want at least two, maybe three. I’d be proud of five.’ Jurors were told the defendant, who can't be named for legal reasons, developed a ‘dangerous interest in killers and killing’Elsewhere the teenager allegedly scrawled: ‘The idea of violence or possibly even murder sparks something in me.‘I don’t know what it is or what it means either. But I think I like the idea of it. It inspires me.’The jury also heard about the boy’s ‘admiration’ for serial killers, including the video of notorious US killers Kemper and Bundy, said to have been created with AI video editor app CapCut.A video compilation he allegedly created of BBC2 series The Fall’s twisted killer, Paul Spector, was played in court.Another showed Dexter Morgan, a serial killer vigilante from the long-running US programme Dexter, ‘dancing over a map of Florida with a list of names of the victims’.There was also a reference to Steve Wright, known as the ‘Suffolk Strangler’ following a series of murders in Ipswich in 2006.The defendant, who is said to have made a ‘victim’s list’, is also alleged to have made a video of himself dancing while superimposed over his school. The boy was arrested near the school shortly afterwards, while the girl was treated at hospital and released the next daySome of the material was found in a shoe box that appeared to have been stabbed. There was also a short essay in which the teenager wrote about arming himself with a 10” knife and stabbing a man in the street, the court was told. One section said: ‘He turned his head and torso towards me. In a second I cover his mouth with my hand, his scream muffled.‘I stab him directly in his heart… he was dead.’The court heard the defendant took a kitchen knife in November last year and later went to his mother to confess he was ‘feeling down and had intended to hurt himself but he chickened out’.This followed a personal issue he was dealing with and help was sought from his school. He also agreed to have counselling.Mr Paxton said the schoolboy – who ‘remained silent’ during his police interview - had admitted committing grievous bodily harm with intent and having a blade without lawful authority but denied attempted murder. The case continues.
