The couple had stepped out for a walk when the two accused arrived in a car and stopped them.Police said the brothers were angry over their father’s decision to sell land belonging to their mother. An argument followed, during which the accused abused their parents and demanded that the property be taken back.According to the complaint filed by Tukaram at Indapur police station, the situation escalated when the brothers attacked him and Anjana with wooden sticks. Tukaram suffered injuries to several parts of his body, including his back, face, thighs and left shoulder. His wife sustained injuries to her wrist and waist. The complainant told police that the brothers also issued threats and insisted that the land transaction be reversed.The incident attracted the attention of people in the area, who alerted the police. The injured couple was later taken to the Indapur sub-district hospital for treatment.
