Prue Leith walks runway in dramatic pink wig at star-studded Vin+Omi show

Dame Prue Leith sported a dramatic pink wig as she led a host of stars who walked in the Vin+Omi Anarchy fashion show at the art’otel in Hoxton, east London, on Sunday.The former Great British Bake Off host, 86, took to the catwalk in a long-sleeved white dress with a multi-coloured floral embellishment.Also in the show was fellow Bake Off star Alison Hammond – who turned heads in a shimmering, off the shoulder dress, with her hair styled into an afro.Queen drummer Roger Taylor was another famous face in the show and sported a black and beige patterned jacket with a black shirt and trousers and red trainers.Loose Women star Jane Moore wore a sleeveless blue sequin dress and carried a dog wearing a matching tie.The presenter’s look was completed with an eye-catching twig-style headpiece with blue netting.Also in the show was fellow Bake Off star Alison Hammond (Jeff Moore/PA)PA WireVin+Omi are eco-conscious designers known for creating sustainable fashion.They used the collection to explore waste, environmental destruction and what they see as a growing reluctance to speak out about political and social problems.“People daren’t speak out, and I think we’re encouraging people to be more vocal about whatever it is, you know, whatever side they’re on, we’re not taking sides as such,” Vin told the Press Association of the collection.Queen drummer Roger Taylor was another famous face in the show and sported a black and beige patterned jacket with a black shirt and trousers and red trainers (Jeff Moore/PA)PA Wire“We’re just saying, if people don’t speak out, then we can’t sort this situation out, because the ones with the larger political voices will win.”Dame Prue’s turn on the runway comes after she announced in January she had left her judging role on The Great British Bake Off after nine series.She has been replaced by Nigella Lawson, who will make her debut on the new series on September 22.Loose Women star Jane Moore wore a sleeveless blue sequin dress and carried a dog wearing a matching tie (Jeff Moore/PA)PA WireSpeaking on This Morning on August, Dame Prue said she believes Lawson is the right person for the job.She said: “I didn’t have to give her any tips but I did tell her to just enjoy it because she’s so good.
