Provident Fund is the best way to save for your retirement: EPFO CEO Ramesh Krishnamurthi

In the latest episode of The Hindu Mind, Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO)’s Chief Executive Officer Ramesh Krishnamurthi talked about the recent changes in the retirement fund manager’s platform and the new Rules for the Employees’ Provident Fund Scheme, Employees’ Pension Scheme, and the Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme, where millions of workers are enrolled. Ruling out a fresh window for opting for higher pension based on actual salary, Mr. Krishnamurthy said the pension is paid from the pool of money contributed by all subscribers and it cannot be used for higher pension for a few subscribers.
