The amazing space adventure from the brilliant mind of Andy Weir is beloved by many, and it achieves what so many movies fail to do. It left the fans wanting more! Whether you're a fan of epic space adventures or just like looking at Ryan Gosling for hours at a time, Project Hail Mary has a little bit of something for everyone. And now, the adventure is about to continue. Project Hail Mary: Journey Among the Stars is almost ready for take-off. With a launch window of Autumn 2026, this mixed reality game looks set to keep the adventure going. The game is available to pre-order now on Meta Quest and will be coming to other platforms too, like Pico and Android XR. The game promises a brand new original adventure not yet seen in the book or movie and will expand upon Andy Weir's work. Your challenge in Project Hail Mary: Journey Among the Stars is to work alongside Rocky to help keep your ship afloat and deliver world-saving cargo to the planet Eridani. You'll have to deal with failing systems on the ship while keeping your precious cargo intact while also learning how to effectively communicate with Rocky. The game will use mixed reality to transform your play area into the cockpit of the legendary Hail Mary spacecraft. If you've always dreamed of fist bumping a rock-based creature or transforming your living room into a gravitation-free zone, then Project Hail Mary: Journey Among the Stars might just scratch that space adventure itch. Little is known about the plot of the game just yet, but with Andy Weir himself working on the game, it has the potential to be the perfect companion piece to the movie. Getting to step into the shoes of Ryland Grace and hopefully saving a planet or two along the way sounds like a lot of fun. The team behind the game, Maze Theory, are no strangers to creating amazing VR experiences. With titles like Peaky Blinders: The King's Ransom and Thief VR Legacy of Shadow under their belts, they have shown how adept they are at making truly amazing VR experiences. Project Hail Mary: Journey Among the Stars will launch in Autumn 2026, so fans won't have long to wait to get on board the Hail Mary and save the universe. While we'll have to wait a little longer for the highly anticipated Exodus, it's great to get a space adventure like Project Hail Mary: Journey Among the Stars in the meantime to tide us over. And while the game doesn't seem to have the fast-paced space battles of Halo, it's sometimes nice to have a change of pace. Getting to slow down and solve problems with a scientific head rather than shooting everything in sight sounds like a refreshing change of pace. Perhaps if the game is successful, we'll get to see more Ryan Gosling lead sci-fi adventures on the big screen too. Fingers crossed.
