Probe PM CARES too: CJP hits back after RTI activist questions Dipke's US education

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has hit back at an RTI activist who sought an investigation into the finances of founder Abhijeet Dipke's family and the party's funding, accusing him of selectively targeting a private individual.Reacting to the complaints filed by the Surat-based RTI activist Amit Tiwari, CJP spokesperson Vaishnavi Gaur said, "Those filing RTIs over a private individual's education expenses should also look at the PM CARES Fund. Modi ji will forgive you, don't worry."Her remarks came after Tiwari on August 1 said he had filed complaints with the Election Commission of India (ECI), the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), and the Maharashtra government. He has sought a probe into the finances of Dipke's father, Bhagwanrao Dipke, a retired Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) junior engineer.The activist questioned how a government employee earning around Rs 60,000-65,000 per month could allegedly afford to send his children to the US for higher education, and urged the Maharashtra government to investigate whether the case involved disproportionate assets. While questioning the legal status of the CJP, saying that it is functioning like a political party without being registered, Tiwari urged the ECI to examine whether the outfit can legally accept donations despite not being a registered political party.In a separate complaint to the CBIC, Tiwari sought the imposition of 18 per cent GST on the Rs 1 crore legal defence fund announced by veteran Congress leader Kapil Sibal for CJP protesters.He further accused CJP leaders of crossing the line during the NEET paper leak agitation by allegedly using abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his late mother, and India's foreign relations, saying those remarks were also part of his complaint.#WATCH | Surat, Gujarat: RTI activist Amit Tiwari says, "I have filed a complaint at three different locations.
