PRINCE Harry has appeared for the first time since his uncle Earl Spencer insisted his bombshell claims about Princess Diana’s funeral “will be no surprise”. Princess Diana’s brother claimed Harry and Meghan receive similar levels of harassment from the press as his late sister did. Harry lost the right to police protection when he left royal duties six years ago and moved to California. In previewed material he accused Charles of being “giddily elated” in the wake of his wife’s death in 1997. He also claimed the then-prince hissed down the phone at him that people would forget Diana “soon enough”. When grilled about what his nephews, William and Harry, will make about these claims, he said: “Well, I don’t like to talk about what I’ve been speaking about to William and Harry. “But these words will not be a surprise to them.” The allegations sparked an incendiary row with the Palace this week, with the King making an unusual retort and suggesting “fraternal grief” had clouded the Earl’s judgement.
