Prince Harry insisted that he wants to reconcile with his brother, Prince William, but noted that “some people don’t want” their family issues to be fixed. “I want it to work out. Of course I do,” the Duke of Sussex said in an on-camera interview with GQ published Tuesday. “With everything else that’s going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile. That’s the key point.” Harry, 42, told the interviewer that he “of course” grieves being estranged from his older sibling. However, Harry (seen here with William in 2018) claimed that “some people don’t want to” resolve family issues. Getty Images “Again, another massively relatable issue for so many people,” he explained. “There’s siblings disagreements. Broken relationships between kids and their parents. That continues to come with me the whole time with people I speak to.” “So I know how relatable it is,” Harry said. “That’s probably why there’s so much fascination.” The “Spare” author encouraged people to “let go of the past” to heal rifts with their family. “Scars stick around forever. But what your perception is, and what your mindset is to those things that have happened, letting go of the past. That’s something that I would encourage everybody to do,” he shared. “If there’s certain things from the past that are still affecting you every day, that’s harder to let go of.” Harry (pictured here with William in 2021) said: “I want it to work out. The two couples are still at odds despite Harry and Markle, 45, moving back to the UK with their two kids in August. Royal insider Kinsey Schofield recently told Page Six that William has “washed his hands” of Harry amidst the latest Sussex drama, including pulling their children from their new UK prep school at the last minute due to security concerns. “The Sussexes’ presence will always generate noise and distraction, and I think the first few weeks have demonstrated exactly why the royal family remains concerned,” Schofield said. William and Middleton, 44, still have not publicly commented on Harry and Markle’s move. One month later, Page Six reported that Harry and Markle were moving back to the UK to be closer to the 77-year-old monarch. However, Charles later sent out a letter clarifying that his youngest son and daughter-in-law are “private citizens,” and still no longer working royals.
