Prince Harry ‘in talks’ to make Princess Diana documentary for 30th anniversary of mother’s death

PRINCE Harry has approached Princess Diana’s friends and relatives for a documentary about his late mother, a report claims. The Sun first reported that Harry wanted to make a documentary about the Princess of Wales last year. The idea was first discussed as part of a long list of potential shows the streaming giant would produce with Harry and Meghan. Several proposals for shows were raised during renewal talks as the Sussexes’ original £100million, five-year contract ran out last year. While nothing has been confirmed a source told The Telegraph Harry is “still considering the most meaningful way to honour her legacy during this important anniversary year.” This comes amid a continuing row over Earl Spencer’s memoir about his sister Swan Song: Diana, My Sister. The author – who said the then-Prince told him “we’ll forget her soon enough” after her death – stood by his claims this evening. Harry, who was 12 when Diana died in a car crash in Paris in 1997, has often spoken about his mother and the impact her death had on him. He has a photo wall dedicated to his mother at his home and gave daughter Lilbet the middle name Diana. In 2007, Harry and brother William attended the Concert for Diana at Wembley ahead of the 10th anniversary of their mother’s death. And they visited floral tributes left outside the gates at Kensington Palace for the 20th anniversary in 2017.
