Prince Harry in talks to make Princess Diana documentary

Prince Harry is reportedly working on a potential documentary about his late mother, Princess Diana, commemorating the 30th anniversary of her death. Harry has approached some of Diana’s friends and also her younger brother, Earl Spencer, to take part in a potential film, the Telegraph reported Monday. However, no project has been confirmed. “He is still considering the most meaningful way to honor her legacy during this important anniversary year,” a source told the outlet, adding that he’s discussed a number of possible projects aside from a film. According to the outlet, the film would likely be produced by Harry and his wife Meghan Markle’s Archewell Productions, and would probably be bought by Netflix, given the couple’s multi-year, first-look deal with the streamer. Earlier this month, the Daily Mail also reported that Harry is planning to make a movie about Diana, claiming that it’s one of the reasons he moved back to the UK in August. Spencer compared his late sister’s dealings with the press to Harry and Markle’s current experience in an interview with the BBC about his new book, “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister,” out Tuesday. “If you look at an article in a tabloid about Diana or the couple that you’re mentioning, Harry and Meghan, they can be really, really unpleasant,” he noted. “I think it would be really beholden on people to learn from Diana’s example,” he continued.
