Prime Video has a new hit zombie series, and the 2026 show did not take long to appear on a major chart, doing so at the perfect time. Prime Video's slate of projects in 2026 has been packed with both new and returning series. For instance, when it comes to both, the streaming service established an action thriller universe with the debut of Neagley, the first spin-off of Alan Ritchson's Reacher, which dropped all of its season 1 episodes on the day of the Reacher season 4 finale. Other returning shows have included Citadel, The Boys, Invincible, Cross, and more. Prime Video's upcoming TV shows will include the return of huge projects like the Chris Pratt action thriller series The Terminal List and the ambitious high fantasy epic The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power with new seasons, as well as the debut of high-profile shows like Blade Runner 2099. While the latter is making waves with each new announcement, there is still space for smaller shows to come out on Prime Video and build a following, as is the case for the new zombie series I Would Rather Die (Prefiero la muerte), which is now trending nationwide. I Would Rather Die Is Instead Thriving On Prime Video Higheror Lower? Choose the movie with the higher Rotten Tomatoes score. I Would Rather Die currently stands as the 10th most-watched TV show on Prime Video in the United States, according to FlixPatrol data. The zombie series was released on Prime Video on October 2, dropping all of its eight episodes on the streaming service at the same time. This makes I Would Rather Die a binge release, something Prime Video does not often opt for, though it was a model that allowed the Reacher spin-off Neagley to break records for the streamer and earn a season 2 renewal. Prime Video's new zombie series bumped the crime drama On Call off the chart. I Would Rather Die has joined a list of TV shows on Prime Video that includes major releases like the fantasy series The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin, the coming-of-age Off Campus, the mystery Sterling Point, Ritchson's Reacher, the new action thriller Neagley, which leads Prime Video in the US as the #1 show right now, and more. I Would Rather Die shares some aspects with hits like Sterling Point and Off Campus, as it tells a coming-of-age story with a zombie twist. According to FlixPatrol, the Mexican zombie series is also trending in Brazil, at 6th, and Mexico, at 4th. Will The Zombie Series Return For Season 2? I Would Rather Die follows Diego Bernal's Archie, who gets bitten by a zombie and embarks on a quest with his goth best friend and his platonic crush to stop a possible apocalypse in the small town of Mendoza. Archie finds a way to control his zombie transformation just enough so he can go on this adventure and possibly find a cure, which leads to both comedic and intense moments in Prime Video's new horror comedy series. At the time of writing, I Would Rather Die has yet to be renewed for season 2, but its new streaming success should increase its chances. founded September 7, 2006 first original series alpha house notable shows The Boys, Invincible, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, Hanna, Carnival Row, The Wheel of Time, Reacher, Daisy Jones & The Six, Swarm, Citadel notable movies Borat 2, The Tomorrow War, Coming 2 America, One Night in Miami, Jolt, Sound of Metal, Honey Boy, Without Remorse
