Espionage TV shows make up some of the most popular streaming releases in recent years. It feels like every streaming service has their own, and to a certain extent, these shows have been quite varied despite existing within the same genre. Peacock's Ponies is a spy comedy, while Netflix's Unfamiliar is a psychological thriller, whereas Apple TV's Slow Horses is a gritty and grounded espionage story, and Prime Video's Citadel is a globe-trotting, gadget-filled experience. Citadel is far from the only spy series on Prime Video's slate of releases. John Krasinski's Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan proved itself a major streaming sensation for Prime Video over four seasons. It was so successful that the show led to a movie, 2026's Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War, which instantly topped Prime Video charts around the world. Now, the streaming service has a new TV show from the genre racking up streaming numbers. That spy series is Ride or Die, which was released on Prime Video on July 15, and it has just crossed a vital milestone. It is the 5th series on that chart for the longest time right now, only losing to the romance Every Year After at 68 days, the reality court show Judy Justice at 79 days, the romance adaptation of the best-selling novel series Off Campus at 113 days, and the action thriller The Terminal List: Dark Wolf leading the list at 124 days. That said, while some of those shows are slowing down, Ride or Die holds strong on Prime Video. At the time of writing, Ride or Die is Prime Video's 4th most-watched TV show in the United States. It ranks higher than nearly all of those other shows that have been in the chart for longer than Prime Video's new spy series. The exception is Off Campus, which just skated past it to reclaim the 3rd spot in the US. That said, shows like The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, currently at 10th on Prime Video nationwide, are nearly out of the chart, which should boost Ride or Die's standing. According to FlixPatrol, Ride or Die is also Prime Video's 4th most-watched TV show worldwide. The Show Left Plenty Of Doors Open For The Future Ride or Die season 1 focused on Hannah Waddingham's Judith Burton, a skilled assassin, and Octavia Spencer's Debbie Claybourne, Judith's friend who does not know how to fight and never knew that her best friend was an assassin. After Debbie's husband dies in connection to a target, they run away. Ride or Die season 1 ends with The Director painting a target on Judith's back, teasing season 2. While the Prime Video spy series has yet to be renewed, passing 50 days on the streamer's Top 10 is the US acts as a vital milestone for Ride or Die's chances of returning.
