Prime Video's TV show library is filled with action-packed series. The streamer's intense offerings range from full-on action shows, such as Chris Pratt's The Terminal List, to spy thrillers like Richard Madden's Citadel, high fantasy series with major battles like The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, and more. That said, when it comes to Prime Video's action thriller shows, there is a certain project that keeps performing well. That would be Alan Ritchson's Reacher, which adapts the Jack Reacher series of novels by author Lee Child. Reacher has released four successful seasons so far, with the TV show growing to be part of a new shared universe on the streamer with the release of the first Reacher spin-off, Neagley, on Prime Video in September. Both TV-MA action thriller series have cemented themselves as top performers for the streaming service, with Reacher season 4 and Neagley season 1 reaching exciting streaming milestones for Prime Video. However, despite the fact that the shows just reached a major milestone, they are now running out of steam. Reacher & Neagley Are Losing Their Grip On Prime Video At the time of writing, Reacher is Prime Video's 4th most-watched TV show in the United States, with Neagley one position above it on the streamer's chart, at 3rd, according to data from FlixPatrol. Given how the Reacher season 4 finale and all episodes of Neagley season 1 were released on Prime Video on the same day, September 16, there have been no new episodes of the action thriller franchise on Prime Video for a month and a half. As such, it was only natural that they would fall from the streamer's nationwide top 2. Choose the movie with the higher Rotten Tomatoes score. Currently occupying those positions are two more recent releases. Mike Flanagan's Stephen King adaptation, Carrie, is the 2nd most popular TV show on Prime Video's Top 10 TV Shows chart in the United States. Above it, standing as the streamer's biggest series right now, is Pratt's The Terminal List, which returned for season 2 on October 21. Reacher and Neagley are starting to run out of steam on Prime Video's charts after hitting a major milestone, as the action thriller universe brought in a combined 7.9 billion minutes streamed from September 1 to the 26th, according to Nielsen. Reacher was #1, with 4.6 billion minutes viewed. What Does The Future Hold For The Action Franchise? MovieStillsDB It remains to be seen whether Reacher and Neagley will be able to hold on to Prime Video's charts over November and December, but as the shows are starting to drop, with new releases taking over, that is a daunting task. Still, no matter what happens from now until the end of the year, Reacher and Neagley's recent seasons were smash hits for the streamer. The shows' futures are secured, with Ritchson returning for at least another two seasons of Reacher, which is renewed through season 6, and Neagley season 2 being confirmed by Prime Video.
