PRIME Video has decided to cancel one of its much-loved shows after just one series leaving fans devastated. The buddy drama, which had a star studded cast including Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham, became one of the biggest streaming hits over the summer. According to Deadline, the lead studio behind the hit series, Paramount Television Studios, is looking elsewhere to propose it to other buyers. Ride or Die immediately took the No.1 slot on the U.S. rankings for Prime beating out big budget blockbuster Masters of the Universe. Due to the series focus on middle-aged women bringing in a similar demographic of viewers, this may have harmed its chances with show bosses, who are allegedly wanting new subscribers. The news has come to a shock to fans who have been left devastated after spending their summer watching the show. Taking to X, one user said: “Wait, WHAT?? This makes absolutely zero sense. The show also stars Bill Nighy, Calam Lynch, Ed Skrein, Savannah Steyn, Jamie Parker, Jacky Ido and Sylvia Hoeks.
