Pretty Sure Taylor Swift Threw an Under-the-Radar VMAs After-Party

Taylor Swift had a huge night at the VMAs, and it looks like she celebrated with friends during a low-key after-party that was barely photographed. While the “official” VMAs after-party was thrown by Madonna at the Chateau Marmont, DeuxMoi reports that Taylor was spotted at The Bird Streets Club with her friend and “Patient Zero” costar Dakota Johnson, Dakota’s rumored boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly (who is close friends with Travis Kelce), as well as Alana and Danielle Haim.Daily Stardust / BACKGRIDOn top of debuting the video for “Patient Zero” at the VMAs, Taylor took home the inaugural MTV VMA Artist Director Honor, which “celebrates a sustained and influential body of work from artists who have pushed creative boundaries and developed a clear directorial voice.” The win made her the most-awarded artist in the show’s history, and she gave a sweet-and-simple speech to celebrate.“First of all, I want to say thank you to MTV for giving this platform to music video so long ago,” Taylor said. “I got to start making music videos and being a part of music videos twenty years ago. And, since then, I’ve gotten to be a part of making 60 music videos, roughly 60 music videos. 18 of those I wrote and directed, and I really love writing and directing music videos. I gotta tell you though, the main reason why I love writing and directing music videos so much is because you, the fans, make it so much fun. You make it so rewarding because you actually care about what we’re making. I want to say thank you to everyone who ever worked on a music video that I got to be a part of, I learned something from every single person that worked alongside me on these projects.”Watch below!
