Pret has just launched a meal deal — and it’s under £5

Lunch just got tastier and cheaper (Picture: Pret A Manger) A lunch at Pret A Manger is the highlight of any working day, but with baguettes, toasties, flatbreads and salads, it’s hard to make a decision. The wrong sandwich could ruin your entire day. Well now, the chain has launched a ‘Pick Your Pair’ lunch deal, giving customers the opportunity to mix and match. From today, for just £4.99 (or £5.99 if you’re eating in), you can choose not one, but two mains. The catch here is that the offer is only available across the lighter options — so that’s the half sandwiches, half baguettes, half flatbreads, side soups, side salads and protein pots. But still, it makes for a decent saving. The Pick Your Pair deal is available on half baguettes and side salads (Picture: Pret A Manger) For example, before the offer, an Italian Prosciutto Half Baguette would cost you £3.75, and a Butternut & Humous Side Salad is £4.75, meaning a combined lunch total of £8.50. With the Pick Your Pair deal, that’s a saving of £3.51. We’ve also scoured the T&Cs, and there doesn’t seem to be anything stopping you from getting two of the same items. Matt Bresnahan, chief marketing officer at Pret, said: ‘When it comes to lunchtime, we know our customers don’t want to compromise between taste, variety, and value, so that’s what we’ve focused on delivering for autumn. ‘After a great response to our Pick your Pair summer trial, we’re excited to expand this new platform nationally, giving everyone the freedom to build the lunch they want for under £5.’ It’s a big day for Pret, as the chain has also launched its autumn menu, with a range of new items.
