President of Barbados Jeffrey Bostic has paid tribute to Barbadian cricket icon and National Hero Sir Garfield Sobers, who passed away on Friday. The President described Sir Garry as not only a legendary sportsman but also a symbol of Barbadian excellence, resilience, and grace. “His genius on the cricket field brought glory to our nation and inspired generations across the globe, while his humility and humanity off the field reflected the very best of who we are as a people. “As President, I extend heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who cherished him.
