Clark told SunSport: “We’ve been selling cars to footballers for over 20 years and for a long time the trends have been pretty obvious. “It’s always been very SUV heavy. Urus, G63, Range Rover, that sort of thing. But this season we’ve definitely noticed things starting to change.” Here’s what are the most popular… Porsche 911, from £139,400 Making a comeback is the Porsche 911, with the GTS and GT3 models proving to be popular. “This has probably been the biggest surprise,” Clark explained. “Sports cars traditionally haven’t been that popular with footballers. Most want something big, comfortable and practical that they can use every day, but suddenly we’re getting loads of interest in the new 911. It definitely feels like sports cars are having a bit of a comeback.” Lamborghini Urus, from £190,000 Since its release in 2018, the Lamborghini Urus has remained a favorite among Premier League footballers. And it’s only going to continue when they can get their hands on the new Urus SE Performante, which is slated for late 2026 and is expected to cost around £209,000. “The Urus is still massive,” Clark revealed. “It’s been one of the biggest footballer cars for the last few years and the new hybrid versions have got everyone interested again. “We’ve already had a lot of interest in the new Urus SE Performante, even before the car was announced, which probably says everything about how strong the demand still is.” The Lamborghini Urus has been a firm favourite with footballers since 2018 Credit: Premier Sports Solutions Premier Sports Solutions are getting requests for the Urus SE Performante Credit: Getty Images Mercedes G63, from £184,595 The G-Wagon is car regularly seen at training grounds all over the country. It is still a go-to for football’s biggest stars. Clark said: “The G63 is just one of those cars that never seems to go out of fashion. “Footballers have loved them for years and every time Mercedes updates it we get existing customers wanting the latest one. “A lot of the lads still like to personalise them too with Urban kits, wheels and carbon fibre.” The new Mercedes G-Wagon is still popular among football’s elite Credit: Mercedes-AMG Richard Clark explains it’s never gone out of fashion Credit: LeeMcLean/BNPS Audi RS5, from £89,400 Audi’s RS5 has always been attractive to footballers, but now as a hybrid and electric it is really cottoned on. “The new RS5 is proving really popular as well,” Clark told us. “It’s now hybrid, it’s seriously quick and it still works perfectly as an everyday car. “We’re definitely seeing players becoming more open to hybrids and electric cars now too. “Part of that could be the tax benefits if they have a company they can put the car through, but the cars themselves are also getting much better.” The new Audi RS5 comes as a hybrid or fully electric Credit: Getty Images Many footballers are turned on to the RS5 for tax purposes, as well as high-performance Credit: Getty Images Porsche Cayenne Electric, from £83,200 The speedy Porsche Cayenne Electric, which manages 0-62 mph in 2.5 to 4.8 seconds, is also proving to be a hit off the pitch for players. “The new electric Cayenne is seriously impressive,” Clark purred. “We’re already seeing a lot of interest in it from footballers and it’s got all the quality and refinement you expect from a Porsche, but the performance is ridiculous. “The Turbo accelerates about as quickly as a Bugatti, except you can put the family in it and use it every day. “I think cars like this are going to make a lot more footballers seriously consider going electric.” The Turbo version of the Porsche Cayenne Electric accelerates as fast as a Bugatti Credit: SOPA Images/LightRocket via Getty Images Starting price for the Cayenne Electric is £83,200 Credit: Getty Images Big in 2027 While those cars are all impressive, Clark is already confident what motor footballers will be desperate to add to their garages NEXT season. No surprises, it’s a Range Rover Sport, but their Electric version which is slated for release in 2027. Clark revealed: “I think the new electric Range Rover is going to be huge. “It basically looks like a normal Range Rover, which is probably exactly what people want. It just happens to be silent and electric. “I’d be amazed if we don’t get a lot of calls for those when they start arriving.” Range Rover’s next offering is an electric version of their famed Sport model Credit: JLR Media Richard Clark expects many footballers to order the Range Rover Sport in 2027 Credit: JLR Media Comment now
