Premier League club to transform 32,609-seater stadium in bid to ‘attract world’s best talent’

COVENTRY CITY chief Doug King vowed to “attract the world’s best talent” after announcing huge investment into the club’s Coventry Building Society Arena home. King, 58, said: “This is a landmark partnership for Coventry City, Coventry Building Society Arena and the city as a whole. “Our return to the Premier League is a defining moment, but our ambition extends far beyond what happens on the pitch. “Together with Legends Global, we are making a significant investment in the future of this venue and transforming the experience for everyone who comes through its doors. “We want to attract the world’s best talent both on and off the pitch and establish Coventry as a leading destination for sport, music, exhibitions, conferences and hospitality, 365 days a year. “This is about matching the scale of our ambition with the quality of our environment and demonstrating what Coventry can achieve on the national and international stage.” Coventry have vowed to significantly improve the stadium’s hospitality offerings, with Michelin star chef Simon Rogan onboard. Coventry’s stadium has already hosted several high-profile concerts, with Bruce Springsteen, Rihanna and Harry Styles among the huge names to have played there. The stadium structure also includes a large conference hall, which has hosted sporting events including Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup tennis. Legends Global are also working with Leyton Orient. A partnership was announced last December, a month on from the O’s revealing their intention to build a new stadium. Comment now
