The singer joins Elmo and friends in a new initiative to help families navigate extreme weather situations. Post Malone on 'Storm on Sesame Street' special Sesame Workshop Trending on Billboard Post Malone‘s next collaboration isn’t with a viral country star, pop singer or a hitmaker producer. It’s with Elmo and friends! The genre-blending artist is heading to Sesame Street as a special guest in Storm on Sesame Street, a new special premiering Monday, Aug. 3, on Netflix and PBS KIDS, Sesame Workshop announced on Thursday (July 30). Comedian Michelle Buteau is also participating in the special, which follows Elmo, Abby Cadabby and the rest of the neighborhood as they prepare for a major storm before coming together to help rebuild their community in its aftermath. As part of the special, Post Malone sings “A Little Help,” an upbeat song about banding together to rebuild the neighborhood. In a video clip released Thursday, Elmo thanks the musician for showing up to lend a hand, to which Posty responds that he’s “happy to do it” before launching into the song. “We can go through something hard/ But I know we’ll make it through/ ‘Cause you will always be there for me and I’ll be there for you!/ Oooh your kindness and compassion/ I see them shining through,” the Grammy-nominated artist croons in the catchy song as various muppets and humans work together to clean up Sesame Street. “A little help/ A little help/ A little help is all it takes to make our street a better place.” The Storm on Sesame Street is part of Sesame Workshop’s new Extreme Weather response initiative, which aims to help children and families prepare for and recover from increasingly common extreme weather events. Alongside the special, the nonprofit will offer free resources in Spanish and English that include family guides and activities designed to help young viewers understand emergencies and navigate the emotions that may come with tragedies. Malone’s appearance adds another bullet to his resumé, alongside his successful musical career. Most recently, he reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 with his track “I Had Some Help” featuring Morgan Wallen in 2024. Notably, he has charted the Billboard 200 with his albums beerbongs & bentleys, Hollywood’s Bleeding, and his first country album F-1 Trillion. Rather than taking the center stage, Malone — who shares a young daughter with his former fiancée — is entering Sesame Street‘s famously neighborly world to reinforce the special’s central message of compassion. Watch him and the residents of Sesame Street offer helping hands to their community when Storm on Sesame Street premieres Monday, Aug. 3, before arriving on YouTube in September.
