Port Vale fans fight EACH OTHER in ugly scenes during Carabao Cup mauling at Wolves

FANS fought in the away end as Wolves hosted Port Vale in the Carabao Cup. Cops were forced to intervene as punches were thrown during the Molineux tie. It read: “We’re aware of an incident in the stands at last night’s game and will be working closely with Wolverhampton Wanderers and the relevant authorities to establish the facts surrounding it. “We take matters of this nature seriously and will consider any appropriate action once the facts have been established.” Wolves comfortably won the tie 3-0 to get new boss Cesar Peixoto’s tenure off to a perfect start. Adam Armstrong got the home side off to a flyer by netting on just 14 minutes. Andre made it 2-0 in the 34th minute, with Fer Lopez adding a third before half-time. I was really pleased with some of our play. “We’re playing against a team who are expected to go straight back in to the Premiership. “They’re two levels above us – and yet in the second half we created more chances than they did.” Vale will begin their League Two campaign with a trip to Oldham next Saturday.
