The outlet reported that Medina and Rubio were returning from a performance when the crash occurred. According to reports, a brown MG One SUV lost control on a curve and overturned on the Tepic-Matanchén Highway. The people in the SUV left it in the roadway, and Medina and Rubio, who were traveling in a Volkswagen Vento, lost control of their car while trying to avoid the SUV. The Latin Times reported that the singer’s vehicle “rolled several times,” and that Rubio and Medina were pronounced dead at the scene.It came just hours after Medina shared a video to Instagram showing himself playing the accordion and singing.The Latin Times said that Medina was a “young performer beginning to build an audience in Regional Mexican music” with more than 178,000 listeners on Spotify. He was the lead singer and founder of the group El Del BM Germán Medina. 7 Days Nayarit shared a post on social media following Medina’s funeral.“With applause, tears, and music, his loved ones bid farewell to the man who left an indelible mark on music and in the hearts of those who knew him,” the post on Facebook read. “Grupo Dictamen and other music groups were present at this sorrowful farewell.
