He told Darts Downunder: “The reality is I am not a serviceman. I don’t do six or nine months away. Poor old me as a dart player has to go away from home for two weeks. “It is such a small price to pay. Dart players go on about, ‘Oh, I have to do all this travelling.’ I am one of the ones that does it at times. “But we are not servicemen. We are not getting shot at. We are not going away for six or nine months at a time. “Sometimes I think, me more than anyone, I need to realise that. I am really fortunate. I get paid really well for the job I get to do.” Wade has made the trip Down Under with one of his closest pals and believes having good company makes the travelling even easier. He added: “I am really fortunate I brought my best friend. It’s a small price to pay to experience the other side of the world with your best friend. He continued: “It doesn’t always work that way. Tonight it was good. I felt the crowd was really fair. They pumped me up a little bit. “It just felt good. When I feel good I am dangerous. I know I am good enough to beat anyone. “But sometimes I think my wife can beat me up in a game of darts. I am just happy.” Comment now
