Sign in to your ScreenRant account Earlier this year, the Pokémon Company and Nintendo officially revealed Pokémon Winds & Waves. The game will introduce the 10th generation of Pokémon when it launches sometime next year. So far, all we have about the game is a trailer, and fans are hungry for more information. Until Nintendo reveals more about the upcoming title, there have been plenty of rumors to fill in the gaps. Several trustworthy sources have been drip-feeding the fandom information about the upcoming games. Just the other day, for instance, one of the biggest Pokémon leakers confirmed the combat system of Winds & Waves. Now, a different reputable leaker has revealed some end-game details about the games, and the news is dividing fans. A Reddit post by Neilkd shows well-known leaker Kurwa discussing what to expect from the WiWa after the game's story is completed. According to Kurwa, the game would lean into the alleged "MMOlite systems," which include co-op raids and boss battles, as well as "multiplayer travel agency races." Kurwa also mentions collaborative "Netsu" battles and the "Mahou Tour," all of which are unconfirmed mechanics that were leaked during the big Teraleak infodump two years ago. According to what we know from that massive leak, Netsu will be some sort of heat- or temperature-based combat system, while the Mahou Tour will be a potential branch of the main story. The idea of an MMO-like Pokémon game has been highly requested by the community for years. However, fans in the Reddit thread are skeptical. Redditor ManateeofSteel and several others note that the allegedly new "leak" isn't actually revealing anything we don't already know from the Teraleak. According to the Reddit user, Kurwa is "using Japanese words to make it sound like the working dev names of features, but the most likely truth is that it's just info that came from the teraleak and since it hadn't been localized then, they don't know what its English name will be." This has led to many being confused about what the post-game info will actually be, or if this is even a trustworthy leak. Even if Kurwa is to be believed, a feature implemented just for post-game risks being done poorly. Reddit user throawayjhu5251 writes, "Even if it is just one small postgame feature, I still think it'll just be a waste of time that could have gone to other things." Aside from the one small post from Kurwa, there is no further information about the post-story elements of the upcoming Pokémon Winds & Waves. Until anything is officially confirmed by the Pokémon Company or Nintendo, every leak and rumor should be taken with a grain of salt.
