Sign in to your TheGamer account It's been a bumper 12 months for Pokemon. As the series enters its 30th year, the Pokemon Trading Card Game is reaching new heights (despite some glaring issues), and we've received a steady stream of games. One of those games, Pokemon Legends: Z-A launched in October last year, and a little over a year later, Pokemon has confirmed it will be receiving a new bundle, complete with its major DLC — Mega Dimension. Pokemon Legends: Z-A And Mega Dimension Are Being Bundled In One Nifty Package Pokemon Legends: Z-A kicked off a killer 12 months for Pokemon video games. That game launched on October 16 last year, with its DLC following two months later. In March, we received Pokemon Pokopia, and Pokemon Champions, the series' new competitive platform, hit devices in April. With 2026's holiday slate a little drier for Pokemon, outside of the TCG's 30th anniversary and Delta Reign expansions, Nintendo and Game Freak have confirmed they are releasing a nifty bundle containing both the base Legends: Z-A and its Mega Evolution DLC. It's set to release on October 29, 2026, and anybody who purchases this version of the game will receive "a serial code for a gift of 100 Ultra Balls via Mystery Gift." At the same time, a Japanese bundle featuring Pokemon Pokopia and its Expansion Pass has been confirmed for release on the same date. This has become common for Pokemon games, as we saw with Pokemon Sword and Shield and their Expansion Passes, and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, so it makes sense that Z-A is getting the same treatment. With no new Pokemon game scheduled until Winds and Waves arrives in 2027, this is a perfect way for Pokemon to fill the holiday void. It's also the perfect excuse for Pokemon fans who haven't picked up the game yet to do so—and it's worth it.
