Now an editor, their focus has shifted to being the leading affiliate expert at the site, building relationships between TheGamer and global brands including Mattel, Funko, and The Pokemon Company. Pokemon has teamed up with Krispy Kreme for a crossover featuring six new flavors, five of which are themed after Pokemon and the sixth designed to look like a Poke Ball. You’d think since this is food it would be safe from scalpers, but unfortunately, it seems even perishables are fair game. The latest Pokemon x Krispy Kreme crossover stars Pikachu, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Jigglypuff, and the donuts can be bought individually or as part of a dozen with the other six spots filled by Krispy Kreme’s classic original glazed option. Buy a dozen, and your sweet treats will come in a snazzy Pokemon Krispy Kreme box. Scalpers Are Selling Pokemon Donuts Now Pokemon/Krispy Kreme As spotted by Dexerto, someone is already trying to sell that box on eBay. Not a box filled with the limited edition donuts, just an empty one after they’ve eaten the contents. Oh, and they want $65 for it. It gets worse. There is already one scalper kind enough to sell you the box with all 12 donuts still inside. You just have to pay them $300 for the privilege. It’s actually closer to $600 all in if you look closely, as the seller wants an additional $281 for postage. That’s presumably to cover the cost of the “airtight container” they promise to ship the donuts in. The scalper also promises next-day delivery. I sure hope that’s the case considering we’re talking about sending food through the mail here. Even in an airtight container that will arrive within 24 hours, I’m still in awe that we’ve reached a stage where scalpers think they can buy up Pokemon donuts, sell them for hundreds of dollars, and then send them through the mail. I don’t care if they’re all carefully strapped in and cased in bubble wrap. There is no chance those donuts won’t be in a sorry state by the time they arrive. Please, Don't Buy Scalped Donuts Pokemon/Krispy Kreme The good news is no one has been foolish enough to actually fork out for these scalped donuts. That’s probably because they won’t be hard to come by. There aren’t like Pokemon cards. There isn’t a finite amount of them based on how many The Pokemon Company has produced. These are donuts. If they sell out, the good folks at Krispy Kreme can quickly whip up a fresh batch. Although, you can currently pre-order them on Krispy Kreme's website, so maybe they will be harder to find than they should be, for some reason. It goes without saying, but please, don’t buy donuts from a resale site. In fact, don’t buy any Pokemon merch from someone who has clearly scalped it. It’s ruining the TCG, and until scalpers don’t have anyone to sell to, it isn’t going to go away.
