Pokémon’s new Celebration Journey has been officially announced, and it will feature highlights from across all nine Generations for die-hard fans to enjoy. 2026 has been the best year to celebrate the franchise and be a fan of the series, as it completes its 30th anniversary. Rather than keeping the celebrations restrained to its anniversary in February, The Pokémon Company has been celebrating all year. For example, we’re getting 30th anniversary celebration Pokémon TCG cards soon, with exclusive collectible Pikachu cards you won’t see anywhere else. This time around, The Pokémon Company has teamed up with Ravensburger to release Celebration Journey, a new product meant to pull the threads on the heart of any big fan of the series. Available for pre-orders on Amazon right now, Pokémon’s Celebration Journey will be officially released on October 7. This will be a very special release, as it intends to celebrate the 30-year journey, featuring Pokémon from Gen 1 through Gen 9. Celebration Journey is a massive jigsaw puzzle set that features over 40,000 pieces for assembly. This whole puzzle block is divided into 10 smaller blocks, each featuring a scenario with several Pokémon that are appropriate for each biome. In the first one, for example, fans can see an urban scenario, filled with the Pokémon you’d typically see in a city, including Butterfree, Snorlax, Psyduck, Zigzagoon, and Pikachu. You can even find a secret Pokémon cameo of Mimikyu here. In the haunted forest section of the puzzle, you can find other types of Pokémon, like Corviknight, Dusknoir, Abra, Umbreon, Noctowl, Zoroark, and the fan-favorite Gengar. These blocks aren’t exclusive to a specific type, but are themed after Pokémon that may appear in each area. With all of these blocks connected to compose the larger Pokémon jigsaw puzzle, you’ll get a piece that measures 268” length x 76” width. If you manage to complete it, you may want to consider getting it framed. After all, finishing a 40,000-piece puzzle is a huge accomplishment. The biggest challenge, however, may come well before you even start separating your pieces. The Celebration Journey puzzle for Pokémon is a rather pricey product. In its pre-order, it costs $729.99. Given its scope and the quality ensured by Ravensburger, it shouldn’t come as too big of a surprise. Even so, you may want to save up before purchasing this new form of celebrating Pokémon’s 30th anniversary. Regardless, the new Celebration Journey puzzle is an impressive new product for the franchise that will surely keep you occupied for a lot of time – depending on your pace, at least until the release of Pokémon Winds and Waves in 2027. If the product doesn’t catch your interest or fit into your budget, don’t worry. Pokémon is continuously celebrating its 30th anniversary throughout the year, and several new commemorative products are still on their way.
