Pluribus’ Rhea Seehorn Finally Gets Her Emmy Redemption After Disappointing 4-Year Streak

The actor has received numerous accolades over her nearly-30-year-long acting career, particularly for her work on AMC’s Better Call Saul and Apple TV’s Pluribus. That includes three Emmy nominations: once for her performance as Kim Wexler in Better Call Saul, the second for playing Kris Latimer in the web series Cooper’s Bar, and the third for her role as Carol Sturka in Pluribus. While Seehorn didn’t win any of those previous times, her four-year streak of not winning ended tonight thanks to the aforementioned Apple TV show. Seehorn won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the 2026 Primetime Emmy Awards for Pluribus. Her competition in that category included Carrie Coon for The Gilded Age, Chase Infiniti for The Testaments, Keri Russell for The Diplomat, and Zendaya for Euphoria. This Emmy win follows after Seehorn has also received honors for Pluribus like a Golden Globe Award, Critics’ Choice Television Award, and TCA Award, among others. Created by Vince Gilligan, who previously worked with Seehorn on Better Call Saul, Pluribus is a science fiction series that follows the majority of humanity being infected by an alien virus that renders them peaceful and content. Seehorn’s Carol is one of only 13 people who are immune to what’s known as “the Joining,” and while this hive mind on Earth leaves these individuals alone for the most part, it ultimately seeks to assimilate them.
