The multihyphenate constantly pushes the envelope with her looks, from her Met Gala after-party nipple pasties to her unforgettable pussy pants from her “PYNK” music video.Of course, Halloween is no different for Janelle. She pulled out all the stops for her costumes—yes, that’s plural—as she completely transformed into three unrecognizable creatures for the festivities. She rocked all-original costumes this year, which she admits took years to develop and conceptualize.Janelle first promoted her second annual Halloween arts festival, Wondaween, as Piper the Party Starter, a pink-haired, green-skinned creature with exposed bones and a spooky protruding eyeball. After debuting her original Phish Boy concept on The Jennifer Hudson Show and at the Creature Carnival-themed fête on the iconic Santa Monica Pier, the Grammy winner somehow managed to sit back down in the makeup chair for a few hours to shapeshift into another haunting character, Mother Creature. To finally bring the characters to life, she teamed up with special effects artists and costumers, including Sasha Glasser, Malina Stearns, Chelsea Delfino, and Alex Navarro. The result is nightmare fuel in the best way, proving that Janelle truly won Halloween 2026. Prepare to be equal parts spooked and seriously impressed by these never-before-seen pics of Janelle’s Mother Creature costume.Courtesy of Janelle MonáeCourtesy of Janelle MonáeAdvertisement - Continue Reading BelowCourtesy of Janelle MonáeAdvertisement - Continue Reading BelowCourtesy of Janelle MonáeCourtesy of Janelle MonáeAdvertisement - Continue Reading BelowCourtesy of Janelle MonáeAdvertisement - Continue Reading BelowCourtesy of Janelle MonáeCourtesy of Janelle Monáe
