PlayStation Plus has become one of the biggest perks of owning a PlayStation console, giving subscribers a rotating selection of games to claim each month alongside online multiplayer, cloud saves, discounts, and other benefits. While the service has expanded considerably through its Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers, the monthly games offered to all subscribers remain one of its best features, especially when Sony uses the lineup to spotlight major releases, acclaimed indies, or overlooked titles worth revisiting. That also means every new month brings plenty of speculation over what PlayStation owners will be able to add to their libraries next. With September drawing to a close, Sony has now officially revealed the next wave of PlayStation Plus monthly games arriving in October 2026. The new slate brings another varied selection for subscribers, giving players several fresh options to keep them busy throughout the month and heading into Halloween season. PS Plus' October lineup is officially here, with the following games coming to the service on October 6: F1 25 Hunt: Showdown 1896 Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 F1 25 is the month's biggest sports release, bringing the official game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship to PS5 subscribers. The racing sim includes its traditional Career mode alongside My Team 2.0, which gives players control over their own Formula 1 organization. Online multiplayer is also featured, with F1 World offering additional ways to compete both with and against other players. Hunt: Showdown 1896 takes the lineup in a much darker direction for with a fresh take on the extraction shooter genre. Crytek blends competitive multiplayer with supernatural horror, dropping players into dangerous environments filled with monsters and rival Hunters. Players can enter alone or in teams of up to three, track down powerful bosses, collect their bounties, and then attempt to escape before another group takes them out. Its PvPvE structure gives players a lot of variety and tons of replay value. Rounding out October's selection is Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, available on both PS5 and PS4. The spinoff gives the usually chaotic EDF formula a colorful voxel-style makeover, with players assembling squads of four rescued characters to battle enormous waves of enemies drawn from across the franchise. It also supports four-player online co-op and two-player local split-screen, adding yet another co-op-focused option to October's PS Plus lineup. As an added bonus, Sony is also leaning into the Halloween season with several PlayStation Plus HorrorFest packs. Subscribers can claim horror-themed in-game bundles including a Call of Duty: Warzone Horror Bundle beginning October 1, a Hunt: Showdown 1896 Starter Pack on October 6, and an Overwatch 2 Draugr Reinhardt pack with five tier skips on October 7. The base games are required to use these extras. PlayStation Plus members will also be able to claim limited-edition Spider-Man: Brand New Day avatars beginning October 6, coinciding with the movie's arrival on Sony Pictures Core. The avatars will be available at no additional cost to subscribers through the service's app for a limited time, with the promotion running through October 20. Subscribers also have until October 5 to claim September's outgoing games, which include Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life, and Chained Echoes, before the new lineup takes their place. Between three very different monthly games and several additional subscriber bonuses, October is shaping up to be a particularly busy month for PlayStation Plus members.
